Good Evening! Students at WMS will be Benchmark Testing on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday of this week. Students should arrive to school on time, well rested, and ready to test! Please be sure your student brings their Chromebook to school each day, FULLY CHARGED. We appreciate your help in this matter. The after school program will resume the week of 1/23. The Art Department and Cheer Team will be hosting the first annual Miss Wright Middle School Pageant this coming spring. All 6th, 7th, or 8th grade young ladies who are interested in participating need to plan to attend the interest meeting next TOMORROW, December 13th at the end of 4th period in the Art room.
If you are interested in playing soccer for the WMS Soccer team this spring, please fill out the Soccer Interest Google Form ASAP. Workouts will begin after Christmas Break.

Good Evening, WMS Students and Parents. This is a reminder that we will have a Chick-fil-A Biscuit Fundraiser tomorrow morning. Biscuits are $5 and drinks are also available for for $1 in the Car Rider Line l/Cafeteria Entrance. This sale is open to the public as well.
There will be no after school program tomorrow or Thursday. However, the mentor program will be meeting on Wednesday until 5:00.
This Friday, Dec. 16th, Beta Club will be the hosting a Holiday Pajama Party and School Dance. This dance will take place in the cafeteria from 6 - 8pm. Tickets are on sale in the office during your AR time or in the cafeteria before school. Tickets are $10 in advance. If you wait until Friday to purchase, ticket price increases to $15. All proceeds from this dance will go to The Abbeville Area Animal Shelter. We will be collecting supplies at the door for the Animal Shelter, and any donation item you bring will enter you into a raffle for a $25 gift card of your choice. All WMS students are welcome to attend, but behavior is a must! If you receive an office referral between now and the date of the dance, you will not be able to attend. Ticket sales are NON-REFUNDABLE.

🗳️ WMS will be closed TOMORROW, November 8th, for Election Day!
📓 The After School Program will resume on Thursday. Students who are signed up to attend (not signed up for Bus Transportation) will need to be picked up at 4:30.
🏀 Boys Basketball try-outs will begin tonight at WMS at 5:00. All participants MUST have a Sports Physical completed and turned in to Coach Little prior to stepping on the court. Boys wishing to try-out MUST leave school and return at 5:00.
Girls try-outs will resume immediately after school today and Wednesday at AHS.

🍂 The 2022 Fall Festival will be held at WMS tomorrow night from 5:00-7:00. Hotdog Plates ($6) and Punch Cards ($10) for activities provided will be available for purchase by CASH ONLY at the door! We hope to see you there!

This is a reminder for students attending Intersession at WMS this week. Students should report to school at 8:00am. Breakfast will be served from 8:00-8:15. Lunch will also be served before students are dismissed for the day. Dismissal will be at 12:00 noon. This is only for students invited to and registered for Intersession. Thank you and Go Wildcats!
Due to inclement weather with high winds, we will have an Elearning day on Friday. Please have your student check his/her Google classrooms for assignments.
Next week, we will hold intersession Tuesday- Thursday from 8:00-12:00. Intersession is by invitation only. We will see those students next week.

The WMS Wildcat Football Team will be traveling to JET Middle School tomorrow night! The game will be played at 1095 Columbia Road, Johnston, SC, 29833. It will begin at 6:00 and admission is $5.
Parents, be sure to check with your child to see if they received an invitation for the three Intersession Days coming up in October. If your student was invited, they have a form that is to be filled out and returned to school no later than this FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 16th.
We would also like to remind all students and parents that the tardy bell rings at 8:03. Breakfast ends for car riders and walkers promptly at 7:45. If your student is a car rider or walker and would like to eat breakfast, please have them at school prior to 7:45.
FCA will meet FRIDAY MORNING at 7:30 in the gym! Lee Collins will be our guest speaker and ALL WMS STUDENTS are invited! We hope to see you there!

Good Morning, WMS Students and Parents! We have just a couple of announcements and reminders we would like to share today:
1. The WMS Fall Spirit T-Shirt Fundraiser is still open! Be sure to head on over to our website, Facebook Page or see the flyer that was sent home with your student last week for more information! The deadline to order will be FRIDAY!
2. The WMS Football Team will play in the Middle School Jamboree at Greenwood High School TONIGHT! Games will begin at 5:00 and tickets are $5. Everyone must park in the front of the school/gyms and enter the stadium through the front gates. There will be no fan entry through the back gate. A clear bag policy will be in place and metal detectors will be in use. Everyone MUST go through the metal detectors to enter the stadium. Once inside the stadium, follow the signs to the designated section. WMS will be on the HOME side of the stadium. ALL STUDENTS AGES MIDDLE SCHOOL AND BELOW must be accompanied by a PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN. Outside food and drink will NOT be permitted. There is to be no congregating at the concession area and all spectators MUST remain in the bleachers.
3. Progress Reports will be sent home with students TOMORROW so be sure to check with your student.
4. School will be CLOSED on Monday, September 5th in observance of Labor Day. We hope everyone has a great long weekend!
Good Afternoon, WMS Parents and Students! We just want to remind you of a couple of things regarding tonight’s AHS Home Football Game at Hite Stadium and any other AHS or WMS Athletic Events for the 2022-2023 School Year. Tickets are $8 and a clear bag policy will be in place. All students under the age of 18 must have a High School ID or Driver’s License. Anyone under 15 years of age must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Students not with an adult will be asked to leave and no refunds will be issued. Additionally, any student who is suspended from school may not attend any athletic event within ACSD throughout the duration of the suspension. We appreciate your help in this matter.
Good Evening! Notices were sent home with any student who still has outstanding Chromebook charges today. Please be sure to ask your student if they received one. All technology fees and fines should be paid promptly. Should you have any questions regarding these statements, please reach out to Mrs. Hawthorne via email or phone.
