Good Morning, WMS Students and Parents! Boys and Girls Basketball games for tonight have been cancelled. There will be NO Girls Basketball Practice today. Also, Thursday's Basketball Games vs Merriwether originally scheduled to be played at WMS will now be played AT Merriwether. The Miss AHS & WMS Pageant will be held this Saturday, February 5th at 5:00 at Lander University. Middle School Contestants are asked to check-in at 3:00 and doors will open to guests at 4:00. Tickets are $15 each and will be sold in the Main Office of AHS this week. Tickets will NOT be sold at WMS. Thank You and Go Wildcats!

Students will follow the same procedure as Friday. Please check your Google Classroom and email for assignments. Assignments are due by midnight to be counted present for each class.

WMS Basketball Teams will host Edgewood Middle TONIGHT at WMS. Girls will begin at 5:30 and boys will follow. Admission is $5 for anyone 5 and up. Doors will open at 5:00 and all children 7th grade and under MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian 21 years of age or older. Children must remain with the parent/guardian through the duration of the event. Please be reminded that students in quarantine cannot attend the game tonight.

Good afternoon Wright Middle School Students & Parents. We wanted to take a moment to provide you with some specific information from the school.
As you have likely heard, due to the constant rise in our COVID numbers, tomorrow January 14, 2022 will be an eLearning day for students. Assignments will be posted in Google Classroom and students should complete them by midnight in order to be marked present in the class. If a student needs to see or talk to a teacher, they will be available for office hours from 10:00 - 11:00 and then again from 1:30 - 2:30. If students complete no assignments from Google Classroom, they will be marked absent for that class. The district has also asked that Tuesday January 18, 2022 be considered a "stand by" day. Depending on what happens with COVID cases or winter weather, this day may also turn into an eLearning day. If that is the case, the same information for tomorrow applies. Please be watchful for further information as it becomes available.

1) Boys Basketball Practice for Today, November 23, 2021 has been canceled. There will be no boys basketball practice today.
2)Parents, please be reminded when dropping off and picking up car riders, please do so in the designated car rider lines. Please pull all the way up so that you are directly behind the car in front of you being sure not to leave an excessive amount of space between your vehicle and the vehicle in front of you. PLEASE DO NOT PARK to wait for your student. Students should ONLY be picked up in the car rider line.

Good News, Students & Parents! Fundraiser items have arrived. We will be sending students with single boxes home with their items today. If your student does not bring their items home today, they most likely have multiple boxes and will need assistance getting those home. Those orders will be available for pick-up in the main office of WMS Wednesday and Thursday throughout the day until 3:15.
To assist you in the distribution of the online product purchased on behalf of your student, utilize the TRACK YOUR SALES feature on the AFG Website. You may access this by going to AFGFUNDRAISING.COM and scrolling down to REGISTER YOUR STUDENT/TRACK YOUR SALES. It will ask for your student's unique Student Code and once you have entered it, you will select VIEW YOUR SALES REPORT. Any missing/damaged items MUST be reported to the school within one week.

Good Afternoon, WMS Students and Parents! The "post season football clean-up" that was scheduled for this afternoon has been postponed due to the weather. It has been rescheduled for Monday immediately after school. Pizza will be served and players will need to be picked up at 4:30 pm. Also, Basketball Try-Outs will begin on Monday for rising 7th and 8th graders. Girls will begin immediately after school and parents are asked to be here to pick them up at 4:15. Boys will begin at 4:30 and parents are asked to be here to pick them up by 5:45. Boys will NOT be allowed to stay on campus until time for try-outs to begin. This call is to inform you that DHEC will be coming to our school to administer flu vaccines to students whose parents give permission for the vaccination. A parent letter was sent home today containing an email link and validation code to register your child for the vaccine. If you are interested in having your child vaccinated at school, please complete the online registration or the parent consent attached to the information sheet and return it to school within 5 days. Online registration is preferred. Please be prompt in registering to ensure your child gets their flu vaccine. Thank you for all you do at home and at school to keep our students healthy and ready to learn.
